GiGi’s Blog-Life, Love, and Stories

Bonjour Beyond!

A toast from me to you. A toi mon ami! Here’s to you my friend!

I want to welcome you all to my new website and introduce you to my blog. I will plan to write little bits here and there about life, love and stories.

I encourage you to email me with questions or things you would like to know about me or things you would like me to include in my books. I will then use some of the emails to make changes to my novels or add information to my blog.

In the future look for some contests and prizes. I appreciate you reading my novels and following me.

The Reine’s Thanksgiving 2023

In the last few years, we have lost some very loved family members. It is lovely to reunite as a family and reminisce about lost loved ones. We talked about Grannie. Grannie was a fiery Texas gal who always dressed to the max. I couldn’t make Grannie’s rolls for a few years, a staple at our family gatherings.

Grannie is my husband’s grandma on his mom’s side. Years ago, Grannie was patient and kind enough to teach me how to make her incredible rolls. It sounds easy enough, but there are multiple steps. If you do one little thing incorrectly, they will not turn out like Grannie’s rolls. I will give you one hint about her recipe …slaver in butter and more butter! Making rolls with Grannie is one of my most cherished memories. Grannie didn’t ever teach anyone else how to make her rolls, so I can’t help but feel blessed.

This year, when we planned to have Thanksgiving, everyone asked, “Are you making Grannie’s rolls?” I made around a hundred soft, melt-in-your-mouth Grannie recipe rolls. Grannie would be so proud our crew devoured the rolls!
